Henry Huggins Final Project

In order for your novel unit to be marked complete in the OLS, you must submit your final project for Henry Huggins. There are two parts to the assessment that need to be completed.

Part 1

Select one of the following topics to write about, then use the writing buffet to set your role, audience, format, and purpose.

A. Pretend you are Ribsy. Describe your life with Henry and whether you are happy living with him.
B. Explain why you believe Ribsy should or should not belong to Henry.

Part 2

During your reading, complete a Character Sketch for both Henry and Ribsy. At the end of the book you will select one character's traits to present. Select one of the options below as a way to present your character's traits:

In your presentation, you must include:
  • At least one character trait
  • Evidence from the text that supports each trait
Examples:
Go! Animate
Narrable

Submitting Your Final Assessment

Your final assessment is due by Friday, January 10, 2014. You may submit your final assessment one of two ways:
  1.  Send your writing from Part 1 as an attachment in a k-mail to me. Include the link to your presentation for Part 2 in the body of the k-mail.
  2. Create your writing for Part 1 using Google Drive and invite me to the document using my email hfrehner@nvvacademy.org. Make sure to include the link to your presentation for Part 2 and the end of your document.
